Fowler Class BB ploughing engine No. 14383, Registration NM 1284

Brilliant afternoon out. Once inside everything except ice creams is free. Loads of train rides, steam wagon ride, and fairground rides for all ages. I estimated the kids had had about 90 rides between them making the entry fee very worthwhile.

Visitor Comment

This engine is used for carrying out periodic demonstrations of steam cultivating. This type of engine brought mechanisation to ploughing before and after the First World War before the advent of successful petrol tractors in the late 1930s.
