Hollycombe is a collection of national importance that is operated entirely by volunteers. We do this partly for our own enjoyment but mostly as we feel a sense of reward and satisfaction from seeing the enjoyment on the faces of our visitors. The activities in which volunteers are involved are very extensive with a wide variety of roles across the collection, both in the public eye and behind the scenes.

Apart from the obvious roles of operating the attractions, running the shop and cafe, our volunteers get involved with many other activities. Examples include erecting the fairground rides each spring, taking them down in the autumn, painting and maintenance, railway track work, locomotive maintenance, fencing, woodwork, machining, gardening, etc. etc. etc. There is something for everyone regardless of skills, experience or areas of interest.
The photos below show just a few of the things that our volunteers have been doing. The list of projects always outweighs the available number of volunteers, so we would love to have you come and join us! If you would like more information, please email membership@hollycombe.co.uk.
If you are ready to join us then please download the membership form by right clicking here and choosing "Save Target As" to save the form to your computer. Once you have completed the form, please post it to:-
