Hollycombe is now closed for the winter

  • 22nd October 2017

After a very successful and atmospheric last Saturday evening opening on 21st October, Hollycombe has now closed for winter maintenance. Hollycombe will reopen for the 2018 season on Good Friday 30th March.

We would like to thank the many people who have visited and supported us so well this year; we really do appreciate your support. However, we could not have got through this season without the very hard work of our team of volunteers who turn out week in and week out to operate the rides and attractions to entertain our visitors, as well as all those who do all the other jobs – on the pay desk, in the shop and cafe and undertake site maintenance.

The trustees of Hollycombe Working Steam Museum are indeed grateful for all the support the museum receives from its family of volunteers, some of whom have been here for over 30 years and are incredibly dedicated to keeping the museum alive. But we do need a lot more help, so if you have enjoyed your visits this year, then why not offer your help to keep this unique steam centre running for years to come? You do not have to have any experience (though it helps!) as there is a very wide range of roles we can find for you. For more, pop up on any Saturday or Sunday for a chat or email us at: info@hollycombe.co.uk. We'd love to have your help!

Meanwhile, the closed period will go too fast for our team and we look forward to seeing you when Hollycombe is open again in 2018.
