Festival of Steam

5th & 6th July 2008

The Festival of Steam is our Premier Event, showcasing all types of steam working steam power.  With around 20 visiting road engines including road rollers, traction engines, agricultural engines and steam lorries and as many of our own engines as possible in steam, this promises to be our biggest event of the year.

 We also steam as many of our own engines as possible including our Fowler and Allen Ploughing engines, Aveling & Porter Roller and Burrell Gold Medal Tractor.  Richard Hooker's Aveling Road loco, Janet Rowland's Aveling & Porter Agricultural and Arthur Mills Gold Medal Tractor are also expected to be in steam.   Of course our complete Edwardian Steam fair and railways will also operating providing a fun filled day for all.  

All in all, we anticipate that there will be around forty steam powered attractions in operation.
