This is our biggest railway event of the year and we aim to operate as much as possible on a railway theme.
For 2008, we are expecting to use resident Hunslet Mills Class Jerry M as well as Palmerston visiting from the Ffestiniog Railway. This will be a rare opportunity (quite likely the only opportunity) to see Palmerston working with Jerry M. An intensive service is planned using both locomotives throughout the weekend with both passenger and goods trains and hopefully some double heading.
On the miniature railway, we will be running resident locos Bob, Tess and Jennifer. On the Saturday, there will be a visiting Tram and Railbus owned by Rick Osman and we also hope to have at least one other visiting loco for both Saturday and Sunday. We are hoping to have Rob & Jo Gambrill's DeWinton Style Vertical Boilered locomotive, as well as Colin & Lisa Healey's Vertical Boilered loco, Jennifer. This would provide an opportunity to see two vertical boilered locos together on 7.25" gauge.
There will also be an indoor display of model railways of a variety of gauges including live steam operation.
