Hollycombe's big wheel at night

The 50ft tall Big Wheel is very popular with visitors. It was built in 1914 and was purchased by Hollycombe in 1990 from a showman in South Wales. The ride is driven by a Clayton & Shuttleworth portable steam engine which was built in 1911 and exported to Portugal where it drove an olive press and was fired on olive stones and wood. Because if this, it is named Olive.
